Led by Alamo History Interpreters, the Remember the Alamo™ guided tour brings to life the heroes and events that have captivated generations of Texans. Walk through the original footprint of the historic Spanish mission complex, now Alamo Plaza, as your guide recounts the fascinating events leading up to and including the Battle of the Alamo. Following the tour, enjoy lunch on your own at the legendary Mi Tierra Café y Panadería. What began in 1941 as a small three-table café serving local farmers and workers has grown into one of San Antonio’s most beloved landmarks, renowned for its authentic Mexican cuisine, colorful décor, and warm Texas hospitality. Before returning to Austin, immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and flavors of old Mexico at Historic Market Square. Attendance is limited at all Companion Tours; tours will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for all tours.
